See you at the festival

It’s been a long week (hence the lack of updates since… was it Monday?) and I can hardly believe it’s over already. A lot of things are over: my contract here at Maggie’s Farm being amongst them. Tonight I’m hopping on a train down to appear at Gamesfest 3 in Hertfordshire. It’s in Tring. Isn’t that a lovely name for a place? Slightly unlikely a location for an invasion of fantasy fiction authors and Britain’s Stormtrooper platoon but I’m not likely to complain. Britain is a great place for placenames, although it can’t beat Canada’s Head-Smashed-In. Sometimes I think we ought to rename London Knife-Slashed-In.

I’m sitting at a desk doing all that tidying and saying goodbye that you do when you’re leaving somewhere, trying to explain that I’m not going on to another contract and no, I don’t need to worry about money right now. I’m too busy being excited about the festival, and the chance to travel somewhere new for a weekend away, to worry about anything else too much. I’m staying in a gorgeous hotel and have decided that since I don’t have Aged Laptop with me, I shall be doing updates via Twitter, should you happen to want to follow my randomness over the course of the weekend.

You can find me here on Twitter and of course, on the Amnar website.
