TGIAD 33: Nasja’s arrest

It’s TGIAD, or Thank God It’s Amnar Day (so named by the great Toaster Ferret). I release the next chapter in the book Amnar: The Awakening, and take a moment here to write about what happens in the episode here on the blog.

I’ve found a temporary solution to the problem I’ve got with iWeb turning MP3 files into Quicktime files (that can’t be read on an iPod). So you can now download them through this blog. I’m working on getting them to work properly directly from the site.

To listen to the podcast, you can click on the picture to pick it up from the website, or you can download it directly from here:

Nasja’s arrest

After last week’s turn around for Io, she suddenly becomes aware that she isn’t the only one facing guards. Nasja is, too.

Nasja took a very great risk putting on a show for Io and her sister so they could escape from guards the day before, and now it’s coming back to haunt him.

It’s also the first chance to see inside the tenement known as the Taija Settlement, which was carved into the East City Wall in 4765. It was specifically designed to house the Taija, who were expelled from their traditional home in the High City, known as the Holy Quarter.

It was designed with very little respect for its residents, and was intended to be a temporary dwelling before the Tiomite government’s plan to expel the Taija onto the Plain and out of Duum territory was put into effect.

The final expulsion never happened, however, and the Taija were left in their temporary home without a good source of water or even the most basic plumbing.

The podcast is late

I have to offer huge apologies to anybody who uses this blog to catch up on Amnar. The WordPress “add new post” page isn’t loading properly so I’m improvising with their “quick press” dashboard page instead.

I have news for Amnar, which I will be updating shortly. In the meantime, thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy the episode!
