About me

So, who are you really?

Hi! This is me. I’m a writer, artist and general lover-of-life. I’ve travelled all over the world, written seventeen books in the last five years, have a PhD and am the creator of a huge world known as Amnar.

What d’you do?

Besides being a writer myself, I help writers and artists find their way back to their creativity when it all gets messy.

Writing can be hard, very hard. Sometimes blood seems to be involved. I had no idea about this when I first started writing, because I was nine and didn’t realise it was a struggle. I write for the joy of writing, of sharing my world with everybody else.

After several years helping others to enjoy academic writing and to get back in touch with their muse, I started up a business that helps writers of all kinds get past the blocks and do the writing they want to do. I’m here to help them find the joy in writing, so they just can’t stop doing it.

I share what I do on Twitter, as The Charm Quark, providing coaching services to writers and artists to build up their own confidence in their ability so they can work freely. I also have a regular monthly blog post slot with Alex Fayle at Someday Syndrome. Catch me on the last Wednesday of each month over there to find out more about my ‘Someday Journey’. Or you can read about how I changed my life in one go, here.

I am currently working with various people to have Amnar: The Awakening published, and in the meantime produce it as a weekly podcast every Friday, which my listeners call “TGIAD”.
